Raised in an artistic family, Dorsa Mohadjerin learned early on to approach materials as tools for experimentation and discovery. This foundational curiosity led her to study wearable arts, fashion, and textile design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp, where she developed a distinct appreciation for minimalism, structure, and material texture.
In 2017, she founded the fashion label Atelier Minimalist, a brand rooted in conscious tailoring, modern silhouettes, and refined simplicity. Over time, Dorsa’s practice evolved from fashion into drawings and abstract paintings. Moving beyond the functionality of garments allowed her to develop a freer, more intuitive visual language. Today, her artwork translates years of material experimentation into organic compositions, utilizing layered textures, subtle contrasts, and expressive depth to balance structure with emotion.
Driven by a minimalist sensibility, Dorsa creates timeless pieces designed to bring a quiet presence into contemporary interiors. In addition to her ongoing collections, she works on site-specific commissions, tailoring the colors, shapes, and textures of her paintings to harmonize with the unique light and atmosphere of an interior space.
